About Us
Who are we?
Ranchview Choir, based in Irving, Texas, is known for hard work, dedication to music, and family environment. Students perform in local concerts throughout the year, complete the UIL Concert and Sight Reading evaluation and compete at the State level for placement in the Texas All-State Choir. Music literacy and unity in ensemble are a daily objective. In addition to graded and competitive performances, RHS Choir performs in the community, hosts socials and completes service projects to grow and expand world views and grow as citizens. Ranchview singers work to develop skills to become lifelong musicians and more well-rounded individuals.

Concert Tenor-Bass: non-auditioned Beginner/Intermediate level choir open to Tenors and Basses new to choir, students in this ensemble are encouraged to audition for All State.
- Concert Treble: non-auditioned Beginner/Intermediate level choir open to Sopranos and Altos new to choir, students in this ensemble are encouraged to audition for All State.
- Symphonic Tenor-Bass: auditioned Intermediate/Advanced level choir, open to Tenors and Basses with at least one year of choral experience, students in this ensemble are expected to audition for All State.
- Select Treble: auditioned Intermediate/Advanced level choir, open to Sopranos and Altos with at least one year of choral experience, students in this ensemble are expected to audition for All State.
- A Cappella: auditioned Advanced level choir, open to all singers with at least one year of choral experience.

Matt Fabilenia received his Bachelors degree in Music Education - Choral Concentration from the University of North Texas. While at UNT, he performed in the UNT Chamber Choir, University Singers, and Collegium, the early music choir, which was invited to the Berkeley Early Music Festival. He spent 2 years as Choir Director at Seale Jr. High in Robstown, Texas, while also acting as Assistant Choir Director at Robstown High School. In Fall 2018, Mr. Fabilenia became the Associate Choir Director at both Ranchview High School and Barbara Bush Middle school in CFBISD, simultaneously. In Fall 2019, he began his position as Head Choir Director at Ranchview High School.
In his free time, Mr. Fab enjoys bonsai, a couple of video games, a few tv shows, making music, and sometimes hiking.
Hope Myers

Hope Myers is so excited to start as the Associate Choir Director at Ranchview in 2021! She is from the DFW area, but graduated from the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music in 2018 with a degree in Vocal Music Education, and spent the last three years as the sole director at a middle school in South Houston. Hope enjoyed numerous performative experiences in college, including singing at conventions including TMEA, ACDA, SWACDA and at international competitions. In her last position, her students earned almost exclusively Superior ratings at UIL and other contests, and set school records for the All Region process, with over 60 students successfully auditioning into one of the All-Region choirs in her three years.
When not at work, Hope enjoys spending time with her dog, two cats, and many, many plants. She also enjoys cooking, video games, traveling and (of course) listening to music.
Meet the Voice Teacher
Joseph DanielJoseph Daniel is a music teacher, singer/songwriter, and producer based in Houston, Texas. Joseph graduated cum laude from University of North Texas in 2014 with a Bachelor of Choral Music Education. While enrolled at UNT, Joseph performed as a singer and instrumentalist at Southlake Baptist Church, and later directed the music ministry at Lake Cities UMC in Lake Dallas, TX. Upon graduation, Joseph head-directed the Missouri City Middle School choir program until 2016, when he shifted to a full-time performance career. |
