The Information Technology Academy is a Pathways in Technology Early College High School that prepares students for high-demand careers in the IT field. The new program at Ranchview High School connects students to innovative curriculum and a network of industry leaders in our community. Many pathways in the program lead to a college associate degree in the IT field.
ITA offers post-secondary opportunities leading to associates degrees in the following pathways:
- Information Technology Support and Services
- Networking Systems
- Web Development
These strands are strengthened by the impressive list of courses students will select from in the program.
Courses in these strands include:
- Computer Maintenance
- IT Troubleshooting
- Web Design
- Web Game Development
- Practicum of IT
Students will also benefit from the collaborative partnership between CFBISD, higher education entities, and our industry partners. Potential partners include Microsoft, Texas Instruments, and CISCO.
An added benefit is that students will also have the opportunity to engage in the Technology Student Association, a nationwide STEM competition organization hosting over 60 virtual competitions.
