New CFBISD Bus Badge Program - Begins January 20th

In Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, student safety is our top priority. To enhance transportation safety and provide peace of mind for parents of our more than 4,000 bus riders, the district is launching a new bus management system. 

Beginning Monday, Jan 20, 2026, all eligible bus riders at your campus will begin participating in a bus badge program. Students will receive a bus badge that must be scanned on a card reader upon boarding and exiting the bus. This process will verify the student's identity and confirm they are on the correct assigned bus. Ranchview students who ride the bus will complete a Google Form through advisory to ensure that all bus riders receive a bus badge. 

To ensure a smooth process, it is important to remember the following:

• Students should have their badge ready to scan before boarding and disembarking the bus.

• If a student does not have their badge in the morning, they can get on the bus and receive a new badge in the RHS library. Replacement badges are $5.00.  

• Students without a badge in the afternoon will not be able to board the bus and will need to be picked up by a parent or guardian.

The new system also incorporates the EZ A2B app, which allows parents to receive notifications about their students' transportation status, bus route, and estimated arrival time. Our drivers are fully trained on the new system and will help students adjust during this transition.

En el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Carrollton-Farmers Branch, la seguridad estudiantil es nuestra máxima prioridad. Para mejorar la seguridad en el transporte y brindar tranquilidad a los padres de nuestros más de 4,000 pasajeros de autobús, el distrito está implementando un nuevo sistema de gestión de autobuses.

A partir del lunes 20 de enero de 2026, todos los pasajeros de autobús elegibles de su campus comenzarán a participar en un programa de acreditaciones para el autobús. Los estudiantes recibirán una acreditación que deberán escanear en un lector de tarjetas al subir y bajar del autobús. Este proceso verificará la identidad del estudiante y confirmará que se encuentra en el autobús asignado. Los estudiantes de Ranchview que viajen en autobús completarán un formulario de Google a través de un asesor para garantizar que todos los pasajeros reciban una acreditación.

Para garantizar un proceso sin problemas, es importante recordar lo siguiente:

• Los estudiantes deben tener su credencial lista para escanear antes de abordar y desembarcar del autobús.

• Si un estudiante no tiene su credencial por la mañana, puede subir al autobús y recibir una nueva en la biblioteca de RHS. Las credenciales de reemplazo cuestan $5.00.

• Los estudiantes que no tengan una credencial por la tarde no podrán abordar el autobús y deberán ser recogidos por un padre o tutor.

El nuevo sistema también incorpora la aplicación EZ A2B, que permite a los padres recibir notificaciones sobre el estado del transporte de sus hijos, la ruta del autobús y la hora estimada de llegada. Nuestros conductores están completamente capacitados en el nuevo sistema y ayudarán a los estudiantes a adaptarse durante esta transición.
