Overview: Culinary Club is all about exploring the fun side of food! Our purpose is to give students a place to learn new cooking skills, try out recipes, share favorite foods, and discover different cultures through cuisine. We work together as a team, get creative in the kitchen, and even give back to our school and community through food-related projects and events. Whether you’re dreaming of a culinary career or just love to cook (and eat!), Culinary Club is a place to make friends, learn, and have fun.

Overview: DECA is a student organization that prepares high school and college students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management through competitive events, leadership development, and community service, fostering skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and entrepreneurship. Members engage in role-playing, case studies, and research projects, attending conferences and networking with professionals to gain valuable experience and build leadership skills for college and careers.

Overview: As an R. L. Turner High School freshman, Kacie Brekhus became involved in the Torch Run, benefiting Special Olympics. As a senior, she served as the student coordinator. Kacie died in a traffic accident in October 2003 while a freshman at The University of Texas at Austin. This club encourages inclusion and supports our CFB Special Olympians in our district. This club raises funds to support their Special Olympics track meet, bowling tournament and allows us to help purchase the letter jackets for the athletes as well.

Overview: Mu Alpha Theta, which partners with professional mathematics organizations, including the Mathematical Association of America, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges, is a non-secret organization whose purpose is the promotion of scholarship in, and enjoyment and understanding of, mathematics among high school and two-year college students.

Overview: The National FFA Organization prepares members for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. FFA provides students with opportunities to develop premier leadership skills, explore career pathways, participate in competitions, and engage in community service. Overview: NASA HUNCH (High Schools United with NASA to Create Hardware) is a nationally recognized workforce development program with a 23-year legacy of preparing the next generation of innovators and leaders. Through immersive Workforce project-based learning, high school students gain hands-on experience by designing and fabricating real-world products that are valued and utilized by NASA engineers and astronauts.

Overview: This club will teach students a lot about the importance of healthcare in our lives. The missions of Red Cross include providing Disaster Cycle Services, Biomedical Services, Training Services to the Armed Forces (SAF), and International Services. We help communities prepare for, respond to, and prevent emergencies. This is also a great way to form leadership skills and stack up on your volunteer hours. As a club, we would help carry out all these missions by doing fundraisers, awareness, and more.

Overview: The Kepher Organization’s (TKO) purpose is to awaken the consciousness of our young people by combining our historical past with a future that has destiny and purpose. All mankind and the origin of all civilizations began in Africa (aka Alkebulan). All pillars of every current civilized nation can be traced to the motherland. By removing the stigma that black people in America’s origin began in slavery, but instead with great achievements that reach far back to the beginning of mankind, we remove all doubt, embarrassment, shamefulness and pessimism.
